I don’t think there’s any catalog I get more excited to dive into than when the shiny J.Crew one arrives at my doorstep. I’m so intrigued to see what fab pieces are sprinkled throughout it for the upcoming season. The edgy touch upon their classic pieces this Fall has me swooning over every. single. item.
Last week I posted my top picks Fall staples from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I keep finding more and more great finds, these being top choices for Fall’s biggest trends. Scoop them up quick, they hit full price on August 5!
A citrusy sangria with an island twist was the perfect way to kick off a Summer party. My goal was to find a healthier version, so I was so happy to discover Oh She Glow’s Sunny White Sangria. It definitely fit the bill! Mason jars, paper straws, and DIY labels add a festive finishing touch.
Directions: Add everything except the sugar into a large pitcher and stir well. Add sugar to taste and adjust until your desired sweetness is achieved. Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours prior to serving (I chilled mine overnight.) Before serving, you may add some club soda & ice if desired. Taste again and add more sweetener if necessary.
This season I’ve been reaching for army green and wine colored hues, along with my usual neutrals. A pair of colored denim or an accent scarf really make my basic blacks, navys and beiges pop in a bold way.
I’ve been living in this sweater coat that I purchased for the Fall season, but is surprisingly warm when layered for cooler temps.
You know one of those *omg* moments you have when you spot an insanely fabulous dress that you just have to have?.. Yet you have no idea where you would wear it? I’m still swooning over this gasp-worthy Kate Spade dress. As much as I would love to own one, I feel like if a dress has that big of a wow factor, any repeat offenders are going to come with a big red flag. Sometimes it’s just necessary to wear a statement dress just… once. Having this mindset, I decided to browse the latest styles on Rent The Runway to look for a dress for my friend’s bridal shower. I’ve always been a bit hesitant to rent a dress from the site, because of the chance of it not fitting correctly.
After finding a fabulous dress to fit the shower theme, I realized that there were numerous reviews by customers with their own photos wearing the dress, dress size, measurements, and a comment stating whether the dress was true to size, ran large or small. The detailed reviews and real-life photos showed similar to how the dress would fit me, and the offer of getting an additional size for free convinced me that it was a fool-proof option.
I spotted a burgundy hued Yigal Azrouel Peplum Dress, and yet even though there was no eye-catching embellishment, the simplicity of the dress made a statement of its own.
As you may know by now, I have a serious weakness for statement necklaces, so naturally I had to rent the one suggested. It couldn’t have been more perfect! From fit, to fabric, to color, everything on the list got a check. I’m really happy with my decision to rent a dress and necklace, instead of buying a something I may never repeat wearing. Now if I could just find an excuse to wear this stunning Reem Acra gown.
Dress: Yigal Azrouel

Fall is my favorite time of the year. The cooler weather, cozy knits, and pumpkin scented everything make the season’s festivities that much better. I love Fall fashion, because it’s the time of the year to be creative with the endless opportunities of layering. I was excited to pull out all of my new fall finds from my recent trip to NYC.

Cozy up to Fall with rich fine wines. The deep hued palette is quite the transition from Summer’s brights and neons. It’s a sleek alternative for basic neutrals. If you’re not ready to dive in to the trend just yet, add a dose of bordeaux to your ensemble with sleek accents.
