If you late to the game this year, here’s a roundup of colorful basket fillers that can all be delivered with 2 day shipping or sooner!
A $6 manicure in under 5 minutes, is the ultimate quick fix, when in a jam. A little filing and you’re good to go.
A sneak peek of my baby shower, this past weekend. We are so grateful for a perfect day celebrating our little pumpkin, we can’t wait for him to get here! A detailed post to come!
For my bridesmaid proposals, I planned a weekend brunch to be able to spend time with my girls, let each one get to know each other and give them their gifts. I wanted to add a little sparkle to their invites, and it was so simple and chic.
Cut the card stock to 5 x 7 inches (the envelopes themselves measure 5 1/4 x 7 1/4 inches, giving the liners room to slide in easily.) I used a card stock cutter to keep them even.
Slide card stock into envelope, remove the adhesive strip off of the top and press firmly.
Etsy is filled with such fun and creative finds! Last year I made some glitter clothespins, and have consistently used them as food label stands at all my soirées. I took it up a notch lately and added pushpins and magnets to glam up my office and fridge. They’re so great to hang photos, invitations, business cards, and inspiration. They add a chic touch to a classroom, home or office and can be used as pretty decor at weddings, bridal and baby showers, birthday and graduation parties to hang photos and banners. A dose of glam and glitter adds a chic touch to just about anything!
Gold is my favorite color, but the glitter combo has been full force on my radar, as of late. I believe in always adding a bit of sparkle for a statement.
My 7am arrival, left me with an entire day to get lost in the city. There’s an energy in New York City like no other, and I love getting wrapped up in it. The glitter drenched sneaks I bought at Kate Spade this week not only came through with receiving endless compliments, but after about 5 miles of exploring on day 1, my feet were in tip top shape, sans blisters! That is unheard of for roaming the New York streets. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a fabulous statement shoe, that exudes comfort! I ventured over to Le Pain Quotidien for a tumeric chai latte, followed by a stroll through Central Park, because there’s nothing quite like it during the Fall months.
After coming across the Jin Soon Spa in numerous glossy reads as being a top nail salon, known for their nail art, I’ve been itching to go (their instagram feed serves for amazing nail inspiration) Upon arrival, I asked for a gold leaf design, tucked in between layers of CND gel manicure. Bimala intricately placed each piece one by one, and I left with the most fabulous manicure I ever did see.
While in the West Village, I spotted David’s Tea, another spot I’ve been dying to try, because tea obsessed would be an understatement. Overwhelmed upon arrival, (and being the incredibly indecisive person that I am) I didn’t know where to begin, as I smelled and learned about the most popular bunch, my eyes came across the name “Glitter and Gold.” As the employee opened up the canister, I set eyes on the chicest tea I had ever seen, as gold glitter and pearls shimmer throughout the loose tea. If I could invent a tea, this would surely be my signature. I left with a supply to go, along with the All About Nuts tea, because it literally smelled like a walk in Central Park.
After my glittery tea, a fabulous gold leaf manicure and my sparkly sneaks winning the award for an orthopedic equivalent of comfort, I pretty ecstatic. The little things in life.
I went back to the hotel, got ready and headed out to fabulous pre-fabb events. At the trendy Refinery Hotel, I caught up with Taylor, Shelby, Jackie and Katie over cocktails and the latest crimson lip hues Jane Iredale has to offer. Afterwards we headed over to the Reiki Salon for a Paul Mitchell styling of loose curls.
I swooped up some fabulous finds at this weekend’s Friends & Family Event at Kate Spade. If there is anything you’ve been eyeing up, now is the time to pounce! I swooned when I spotted this shoes, and have been sporting them since.
Another great Kate Spade score, and my go-to accessory, to bring along on my New York trip next week.
Visiting fun Fall festivals, pumpkin patches and markets with my bestie has become a weekend fixture.
The perfect sweater.
Camo has become my fave “neutral print,” as of late. A piece in the print lets me go totally girlie on the rest of my ensemble or accessories.
An Oscar Party isn’t complete without a little glitz and glam. Add bits of sparkle throughout the decor.
I adore the idea of a “PJs & Pearls” themed Oscar party, featured on LaurenConrad.com. Dress up your fave movie snacks in a chic setup, like a stylish popcorn bar.
No need to break the bank for a lavish dessert table. Get creative. My favorite thing about baking is the endless creativity.
Everyone deserves to feel like a star for a night. Whether it’s Jessica Chastain or a Best Dressed nom, it’s your night to shine.
Get your DIY on by creating a simple (but impressive) backdrop for all of your “Red Carpet” snapshots.
Have fun voting for your top predictions. Whoever is dead-on wins a fabulous prize.
Who doesn’t love an excuse to get go glam? Go black-tie or wear your PJs while sporting old Hollywood waves and statement jewelry.
