If there’s one makeup item I would choose to have over any others before leaving the house, it’s a brow product. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good mascara, but I have pretty naturally long lashes on my own. If I don’t have my brows filled in (in the parts I am still trying to grow out) I feel naked.
Until a couple years ago, I never filled my brows in at all, and looking back pictures, it makes the biggest difference. I wish I would’ve started much sooner. After a good almost 12 years of growing my brows back in after a bad pencil thin waxing experience, I’m almost fully there. The brow tools aid in the extra help I need for any sparse spots, and keep them shaped and clean.
Benefit Brow Zings (in light) is my favorite brow product. Most days this is the only one I use. The hard angle brush and powder are the perfect tools to give your brows a polished shape. The wax and blending brush fill in any sparse spots, and blend the two products together well.
Benefit Gimme Brow (in light/medium) is a great product to subtly fill in your brows, and make them appear fuller, as well as work as a brow gel to keep them in tact.
Anastasia Brow Wiz (in taupe) is a great tool to quickly pencil in or shape your brows, or use along with Benefit Gimme Brow. The retractable ultra fine tip prevents looking too “pencilly” or thick.
I’m such a beauty junkie, I’m always testing out new products, so I love the beauty subscription trend going on right now with companies like Birchbox and GLOSSYBOX (highly recommend joining!) I’m sharing my top must-haves that I fell in love with this year. What are your favorite beauty products?
The Best Makeup Brush Cleaner Ever. – I was in search of an innovative way to clean makeup brushes, that even by using department store brush cleaner, won’t come clean. I found this recipe on Pinterest, but I didn’t have tea tree oil, so I changed it around a bit. It makes your makeup brushes look brand new in seconds! Just swirl brush around in the cup with mixed ingredients. Rinse with hot, then cold water, pat dry excess water & let dry brush side up in a cup.
I discovered this Pinterest DIY by MadebyGirl.blogspot.com, and I loved the idea for brush organization. It has a chic, modern look, and it’s a great solution while drying your brushes. Glass Vase $9.99, Stones (Two Packs) $2.99/each = Total $16
