All about the basics. I love pairing a casual piece with something less casual for contrast, like a dress and these sneaks.
When It comes to summer beauty, I go for lightweight simplicity, with a touch of dewiness. This shimmery based primer, gives my skin the perfect subtle glow underneath my foundation, and this lightweight spray foundation is perfect for a simply flawless look. The key is to spray foundation onto an airbrush style makeup brush, and then apply to face in circular motions, so you don’t overuse the foundation, or look “too done up.” This has been my go-to concealer for years. I apply it underneath my eyes in an upside down triangle. It blends most naturally by patting the under eye area with a beautyblender.
In search of the perfect blush and lipgloss for my wedding, I came across this pair. The dual-intensity blush is perfect for taking your look from day to night, going super subtle or making a statement. This blush brush can be used wet for more intensity for dry for minimal color. The lipgloss is the perfect amount of pop, and my favorite lip plumper & glossy stain is essential.
Happy New Year! 2014 was filled with great memories, getting engaged, lots of road trips, vacations, and wedding planning. I’m so excited for our wedding year to be here, and to share everything with you along the way! I’ll be sharing my most coveted products of the past year including beauty, skincare and hair, as well as ones I’m itching to try this year.

In the dryer Winter months, I like to add a heavier foundation to my usual foundation and combine them for a more hydrating, long-lasting wear. What are the life-changing products you can’t live without?
Last year a trip to the beauty department at Saks, left me with an obsessed with Armani Beauty. I came home with the serum, primer, foundation, powder, bronzer, blush, etc. (the whole shebang) and I’ve been loyal to every product ever since. Last month when I was traveling from LA, my new bronzer took a tumble and shattered. Determined to make it as good as new, I searched Youtube for tutorials.
I came across this Youtube Video, and the simple steps saved the day. Since the video is pretty lengthy, I broke down the steps for an easy quick fix.
What You Need:
- Rubbing Alcohol
- sealable sandwich bag
- flat knife
- a spoon
- a tissue
Pour the contents of the compact into a sealable sandwich bag, let out the air and seal.
Using the spoon, flatten the broken pieces of the compact to form a smooth powder. (It may not come completely smooth)
Put the smoothened powder back into the compact.
Add a small amount of alcohol to the compact, gradually, reaching all areas of the compact.
Using the flat knife, mix the alcohol throughout the compact, to form a paste and smooth out the mixture evenly.
Let dry for one hour.
Once dry, use the tissue to blot the compact, absorbing any excess alcohol.
Spending the week in warm weather and sunshine was the perfect way to start off the new year. A start to my Spring wardrobe, and new beauty additions are such a tease when having to finish off the next couple months of Winter. Oribe Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray is my new favorite must-have.
I’m such a beauty junkie, I’m always testing out new products, so I love the beauty subscription trend going on right now with companies like Birchbox and GLOSSYBOX (highly recommend joining!) I’m sharing my top must-haves that I fell in love with this year. What are your favorite beauty products?

I’m ecstatic for the upcoming Fall trends. The invasion of leather, isn’t going to be taken lightly, along with fur and sleek metallics. Embellishment is on the rise, splattering everything from pants to pumps. Bordeaux drenches everything from shoes, to skirts, to leather jackets. This Summer has been in print overload, but there’s much more in store; think brocades and damasks, psychedelic flair and a trip into the wild. Menswear inspired designs escalate, and art deco minimalism is subtly chic. Let’s break it down by starting with color.
Tagged the color of the season, bordeaux looks super sleek donned in red hot leather and printed patterns. Accessories in the color palette are an instant style update. Boots, handbags, and gloves are risk-free options that are right on trend.
Bold blues serve as chic LBDs, and updated outerwear. Retire your usual black handbag, for a bold statement against any hue. Black and blue are this season’s power couple.
The “no white after Labor Day” rule is long gone. This season is all about chic separates and structured LWDs. Don’t be afraid to don handbags and pumps in the neutral shade.
When in doubt this Fall.. think pink. Find the shade that best suits you, from cotton candy to Schiaparelli pink.
