There are certain things that simplify life, dry shampoo being one of them! Luckily I get away with two washes and styles, and dry shampoo the other days of the week. After reading an article on the scary ingredients most dry shampoos contain, I checked the label on my regular go-to and saw ingredients like liquified petroleum gas! No thanks. Since it’s the hair product I use the most, I recently switched to a version free of parabens, sulfates and phthalates. The other major benefits is it’s all organic, and doesn’t have any harsh chemicals. I noticed that dry shampoo in the powder form goes a really long way. Sprinkling it into my palms and rubbing it into my roots absorbs oil and creates a ton of volume, without the damp white residue the aerosol form can leave behind. How cute is the packaging?
We recently returned from our vacation in Florida, and it still hasn’t set in that we are engaged! During a walk on the beach on our first day there, Jimmy handed a box to Hunter, his son, to hand to me and I immediately started crying. I opened it up to find the sweetest note, and at the end “Will you marry me?” He had another ring box opened with a gorgeous ring inside and the rest was a blur, only remembering repeating yes over and over between kisses and hugging and crying. It was the most perfect moment! I loved how he incorporated Hunter into it, making it even more special. It was Hunter’s first time at the beach, which made it such a perfect memory, he absolutely loved playing in the sand and ocean! I can’t even begin to describe my happiness to marry my best friend, and spend the rest of our lives together!
The peaceful time spent on planes; absorbing a good dose of inspiration.
The ultimate sunrise.
Feeling a bit Holly Golightly with this fancy breakfast in bed. (sans the diamonds.)
These Prada wedges (similar) hold a special spot in my heart. You know when you love something and then it sells out, and you’re so mad at yourself for not getting it? Then it magically pops up on Rue La La one morning, and it was so meant to be? Yeah, that’s our story.
Relaxing in the sun.
The most refreshing of cocktails, blackberry margaritas.
This Parker frock has been my Summer go-to already. Featuring details in an upcoming style post.
I love to accumulate “easy-chic” dresses, that exude comfort, and don’t require many accessories. They serve as a major go-to when sunny weather hits–if you’re in a hurry, it can easily be thrown on without much thinking required. Basic hues and styles are essential, but bold color and texture make a great hybrid–going from beach to brunch. Being on the shorter side, this tank dress makes a great pool/beach coverup, pairing well with any hue.

I spent the past week in the gorgeous Caribbean islands of Turks and Caicos. I have never been to a place more beautiful. It’s clear turquoise water and white sand make it a true paradise.
My family went as well as my best friend and hers, making such a fun time.
We had a girls day at one of the most serene spas.
Practically a tropical paradise in a glass, bananas, fresh pineapple, ice, water & coconut rum was my choice cocktail of the week.
We took a boat trip and went snorkeling for the day, and then had a bbq on the beach. We snorkeled over a shipwreck, which was really cool. Growing up with The Little Mermaid being my favorite movie, made it all the more exciting.
Every night the sunset over the ocean was incredible. It was definitely the prettiest place I’ve been to.
