This week has been filled with style, beauty and amazing new friends! Day 1 of the Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference included panels of some of the industry’s most influential. I had so much fun getting my DIY on, sampling Spring beauty, discovering a new obsession (fashionable headphones..crazy chic!) and checking out fab jewelry.

“If it doesn’t make you crazy like teenage love, don’t blog about it.” -Tina Craig @BagSnob
“Don’t dumb down for your readers. Raise them with you.” -Leandra Medine @ManRepeller
“Be interesting, be useful or be clever.” -Dina Fierro @Eye4Style
Fekkai introduced their PrX Reparatives collection. Fortified keratin and silk proteins make up the ultimate weapon for damaged hair.
MailChimp had the ultimate DIY bar to create a chic tees. Why did I ever stop using a bedazzler?
I’ve never been one for on-ear headphones, but Monster has completely changed my perspective. The glam Diamond Tear styles and interchangeable headbands totally won me over, added to my wish list!
I love intricate jewelry, and Alex and Ani has a wide array to add your own personal touch.
I love all of the new product I received from Bare Minerals. Their Spring beauty collection is fun and flirty with punches of bright vibrant hues.
We left with a collection of great new products to try (and some of my personal faves!)
I can never get enough Twistbands!
In need of a makeup refresher, I headed over to the bareMinerals booth at the IFB Conference. After trying out a couple of new products, I was on my way with a gift bag, filled with their newest foundation, precision brush, concealer and concealer brush.
While getting ready for Lucky FABB the next morning, I decided to test out the READY SPF 20 Foundation. To my surprise it was incredibly lightweight, yet had great coverage. Unfortunately I wasn’t matched the correct color, so with the help of bronzer, I was able to achieve the color of my skin tone. I later ordered my correct color from Nordstrom. Their color palette made it easy to find the true match. Choose a color that appears darker than your skin tone. I was originally matched with Medium Beige, but Medium Tan was my best match.
I love the idea of wearing something lightweight, that doesn’t feel like a mask. The Precision Face angled brush makes it really simple apply the foundation evenly, even around hard to reach spots like around the nose. It looks completely natural, and after a long day at Lucky FABB, no touch-up needed. I’ve been using it ever since!
If you would like to learn more about the foundation, this Thursday, September 27th at 12pm PDT / 3pm EDT Creator of bareMinerals, Leslie Blodgett, and Celebrity Makeup Artist, Fiona Stiles will be LIVE on Facebook at http://www.Facebook.com/bareMinerals.
