Growing up, the best thing about Winter in Pennsylvania was the Snow Days. Sled riding and hot chocolate made up the perfect Winter day. Today marks off the first of ‘snowed in’ Winter days this year. Traveling may not be an option, so here’s a few ideas make the most of being snowed in.
Host a chick flick marathon. Make use of your Netflix subscription, whether it’s classic girly faves or a Ryan Gossling vs. Channing Tatum face-off, it’ll be sure to keep you entertained.
Get a Winter glow. Face masks are a fixture in my beauty routine. There’s just something therapeutic about them, that I love. Polished supple skin is only a face mask away. If you don’t have a mask on hand, whip up one in the kitchen with one of these homemade recipes. My faves include Mario Basdecu ‘Super Collagen Mask’ & Cucumber Tonic Mask, Philosophy Oxygen Peel, and Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic Mask.
Catch up on your reading. I subscribe to an absurd amount of magazines, so getting caught up is sometimes a weekend project. Get the latest on style, beauty news and bikini body moves.
Give yourself a mani. Take the time to master that mani you’ve been eyeing on Pinterest. I’ve been a huge fan of the glitter fade, and New Year’s Eve is the perfect time to sport it!
Try a new recipe. I’ll admit, I’m a little Christmas cookie baked out, but now is the time for all of the those tdf recipes on my Pinterest board, or a warm Winter soup. (Vegan, gluten-free brownies pictured.)
Play in the snow. Skiing, tubing, or a snowball fight.
Create a hot chocolate bar to enjoy after. Add marshmallows, peppermint candies, chocolate, cookie sticks, etc.
