This post is long overdue, but I am so excited to share with you the most magical day we had for our wedding back in May! With our wedding date falling in the most uncertain of times with Covid, we had the option to postpone or continue moving forward with a much smaller ceremony than we had originally planned. With so much unknown, and the excitement of our wedding date approaching, we decided to move forward with a private ceremony of 25 of our closest family and friends. We were fortunate enough to be able to include the rest of our friends and family in our ceremony virtually. The ceremony was held at my parents’ home (our original location), and we took a chance even though the weather called for rain all week, it ended up turning out to be a gorgeous 75 degree day. I couldn’t have painted a better picture of how I envisioned the day to go. The ceremony was so intimate and personal, and perfect. The sunset reception simply was dreamy. We were able to soak up every moment, be present with each other and each guest, and take it all in. I couldn’t imagine celebrating our love and our story in a more perfect way. We will cherish the memories from that magical day forever.
Morgan, from Devoted to You Events streamlined the day, fully understanding my vision. I highly recommend hiring a day of coordinator, so you can relax and fully soak up the day, with the elimination of stress or troubleshooting.
I added personal touches wherever possible. I DIYed everything from our seating chart to our signs and table numbers.
We took photos and captured part of our wedding video in our driveway, and fields, which made our video even more meaningful to us.
Hudson walked me down the aisle, creating such a special moment for us.
The morning was so calm and relaxed. Hudson spent the morning with Josh getting ready together, while I did my makeup and my mom’s and spent the morning with my best friend. Then I was able to do Hudson’s hair and spend time with him before the ceremony, which was so special.
Choose something you love to get ready in. I fell in love with the intricate detail of this floral lace robe, correlating with the garden inspired theme of the wedding and my dress.
