My 7am arrival, left me with an entire day to get lost in the city. There’s an energy in New York City like no other, and I love getting wrapped up in it. The glitter drenched sneaks I bought at Kate Spade this week not only came through with receiving endless compliments, but after about 5 miles of exploring on day 1, my feet were in tip top shape, sans blisters! That is unheard of for roaming the New York streets. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a fabulous statement shoe, that exudes comfort! I ventured over to Le Pain Quotidien for a tumeric chai latte, followed by a stroll through Central Park, because there’s nothing quite like it during the Fall months.
After coming across the Jin Soon Spa in numerous glossy reads as being a top nail salon, known for their nail art, I’ve been itching to go (their instagram feed serves for amazing nail inspiration) Upon arrival, I asked for a gold leaf design, tucked in between layers of CND gel manicure. Bimala intricately placed each piece one by one, and I left with the most fabulous manicure I ever did see.
While in the West Village, I spotted David’s Tea, another spot I’ve been dying to try, because tea obsessed would be an understatement. Overwhelmed upon arrival, (and being the incredibly indecisive person that I am) I didn’t know where to begin, as I smelled and learned about the most popular bunch, my eyes came across the name “Glitter and Gold.” As the employee opened up the canister, I set eyes on the chicest tea I had ever seen, as gold glitter and pearls shimmer throughout the loose tea. If I could invent a tea, this would surely be my signature. I left with a supply to go, along with the All About Nuts tea, because it literally smelled like a walk in Central Park.
After my glittery tea, a fabulous gold leaf manicure and my sparkly sneaks winning the award for an orthopedic equivalent of comfort, I pretty ecstatic. The little things in life.
I went back to the hotel, got ready and headed out to fabulous pre-fabb events. At the trendy Refinery Hotel, I caught up with Taylor, Shelby, Jackie and Katie over cocktails and the latest crimson lip hues Jane Iredale has to offer. Afterwards we headed over to the Reiki Salon for a Paul Mitchell styling of loose curls.
