When I travel, comfort is key. Lip balm, hand lotion and a rose water spray help my skin stay hydrated. Take a peek inside my carry on to see some of the goodies that keep me relaxed and refreshed.
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect black leather jacket for ages. I scooped up a Michael Kors version while in LA.
I’m in love with the color palette of this photo. It was a perfect day for an outdoor brunch.
It was such a delight coming home to warm weather and sunshine. I couldn’t wait to throw on my running shoes and go outside.
I just purchased a juicer, and I’m borderline obsessed. Spinach, cucumber, celery, apple & lemon is my current favorite combo. I’d love to hear your favorite juice recipes!
En route to la la land for Lucky Magazine’s FABB Conference, I took an early morning flight from Pittsburgh. I was delightfully surprised when I stepped off the plane in San Francisco to see the array of great shopping. I ventured into Mango and spotted a pair of distressed skinny jeans in a light wash, that make a great Spring staple, and a pair of embellished denim shorts.
On the search for healthy options, I came across Fraîche, a homemade, organic yogurt spot, offering fresh pressed juice, and gluten free, vegan yogurts, I was definitely in my glory. San Fran is holding the top spot of favorite airports, thus far.
After a short flight to LA, I headed to my favorite LA spot, The Grove, to meet up with my friend I am staying with for a little shopping.
I was so happy to be in the Cali sun, and inspired, found an bright hued ensemble to wear to Day 1 of the conference.
Heading over to the Farmer’s Market, we had dinner at The Veggie Grill, which has a kale salad that was to die for, (definitely my new favorite spot!)
Stylehaus hosted a pre-fabb soiree, equipped with cocktails, beauty and great gifts. I can’t wait to try out the Aloxxi line of product.
This week has been filled with style, beauty and amazing new friends! Day 1 of the Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference included panels of some of the industry’s most influential. I had so much fun getting my DIY on, sampling Spring beauty, discovering a new obsession (fashionable headphones..crazy chic!) and checking out fab jewelry.

How amazing is this Swarovski crystal embellished KitchenAid mixer?
They have the best vegan carrot cake cupcakes I’ve ever tried. Yes, the Whole30 got pushed back to this week to avoid torturing myself, and not being able to prepare meals while traveling.
The trip was filled with fun touristy DC sight-seeing.
Beach days ahead with this fun thrifting find at Current Boutique.
On Sunday we had an incredible brunch at Zaytinya. The mix of Turkish, Greek & Lebanese flavors was tdf! Santorini Fava & Squash Soup, Smoked Olive, Pistachio Santorini Kale Salad and Carrot, Apricot & Pinenut Fritters with Pistachio Sauce.. I definitely plan to recreate these recipes.
On Saturday we had brunch at Smoke & Barrel. This is one of my faves in DC. A brunch buffet that includes vegan french toast, tofu scramble and sweet potato hash is pretty amazing.

My boyfriend and I ventured to DC for a fun filled weekend, exploring the unknown. As we drove into Georgetown, I fell in love with the colonial setting of the shops and restaurants lining M Street. The city had a small town vibe, that was simple to navigate. In the short period of time during our visit, we walked through the city, touring some of it’s hot spots. A recommendation would be not to travel to the city during the cold Winter month of February, but to our advantage it was the off-season, seeing minimal tourists. Being a health conscious vegan, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that much of the city’s restaurants offered vegan options, or even separate vegan menus. Any city that offers vegan brunch in multiple non-vegan restaurants, is definitely livable by me. We visited the Food Network’s Cupcake Wars winner, Sticky Fingers Bakery. The vegan bakery served the most delectable french toast and sticky buns, and they’re cupcakes are pretty amazing too. Busboys & Poets had to be my preferred choice, with it’s unique atmosphere, and amazing offerings of vegan options. Smoke & Barrel offered bbq, along with vegan wings and brunch. Yola, a healthy yogurt bar, was the perfect treat.
We stayed on Capitol Hill, making much of the city’s monuments and museums within close walking distance. The National Museum of American History houses interesting classic pieces, such as the infamous Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers, and dresses that belonged to everyone from Jackie O. to Michelle Obama. The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum was a cool hands on experience, complete with interior tours of vintage aircrafts. We weren’t able to view all of the great tourist attractions that the city offers, but we definitely plan to visit again, particularly in the Summer months.
