If you have been following on instagram and facebook, you know the news that we are expecting! We announced in late July that we are expecting a baby girl in early February!
Due Date:
We are expecting in early February, BUT Hudson did arrive when I was 36 weeks 1 day, and I have a feeling with the way baby girl is measuring, that she may follow suit with an early arrival. We’re curious to see!
Girl Pregnancy vs Boy Pregnancy:
Even though I’m pregnant with a baby girl, this pregnancy has mirrored my pregnancy with Hudson. The first first 9 weeks I was severely nauseous, but didn’t get sick. The first 12 weeks I felt extremely fatigued. As soon as I hit the second trimester, I gained my energy back and have felt great!
Second Pregnancy vs First Pregnancy:
I definitely felt like I started showing much earlier with this pregnancy (a lot I believe is due to feeling more bloated this pregnancy.) With my first pregnancy I felt like I stayed in that awkward stage before a bump for a while, with this pregnancy I felt like I had a bump weeks after finding out! Grateful for biker shorts this Summer!
I felt the first flutters with Hudson at 15 weeks. I felt the first flutters that soon turned into kicks with this pregnancy at 13 weeks! Josh felt her for the first time at 20 weeks! She’s a very active girl!
Essentials:
Belly Prep: I have been using organic almond oil along with this great body oil & butter duo!
Prenatal: We knew we wanted to start trying to get pregnant after our wedding, so I started taking Ritual Prenatal Vitamins back in January to prep my body ahead of time! The no-nausea capsule design makes taking them so easy, and the ingredients are traceable showing where each is derived from. I choose a monthly subscription so I don’t miss any, because pregnancy brain is real! lol
Hydrating: During the first trimester I never felt like I could drink enough water! A 32 oz bottle makes it easy to refill to get in the recommend water daily for me!
Snacks: I snacked on grain-free crackers and sweet and salty granola bars to combat nausea throughout the first trimester. Mini granola bars are perfect for throwing in your purse (I find them at Whole Foods!)
