Guide to Glowing Summer Skin

If you’re like me, I have always maintained strict morning and nighttime skincare routines for my face, but never really implemented the same consistency for my body, up until the last year! I use this gentle, yet super effective exfoliator on my face 3 times per week, but it never seemed to click that the rest of my body needs the same type of attention! I’m sharing my top tips for Glowing Summer Skin from head to toe, to be beach or poolside ready at any time!

Exfoliate

Dry Brushing – I dry brush everyday before jumping in the shower! It exfoliates dead skin, reduces cellulite, and stimulates the lymphatic system to remove toxins

Body Scrub – I exfoliate with this Smoothing Body Scrub every other day, that softens and has anti-aging properties!

Moisturize

Body Oil – This body oil is a dream! Not only does is smell heavenly, it illuminates, moisturizes with anti-aging & antioxidant benefits & can multitask as shave oil, bath oil or a scalp treatment!

Golden Glow – I just ordered this shimmery version of my coveted body oil, that gives a sun kissed glow from head to toe!

Color

Self Tanner – I’ve used numerous brands of self tanner over the years, but this one takes the cake! It’s streak-free, non-transferring, fast drying and smells amazing! I can spritz on and rub in and throw on pjs and wake up with a Summer Glow!

Protect

Body – I made the mistake of skipping SPF in my teens & early 20s, but now I won’t leave the house without it! My favorite lightweight, chemical-free products are this lusciously smelling one, and this anti-aging protectant!

Face – I’m not a fan of pore-clogging SPFs on my face, so I use this Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer or this Foundation that have mechanical shields to protect from UVA & UVB rays every single day!

Hydrate

Drink up! – Not only does it help to clear skin, but it also helps to prevent dark circles, and plump up wrinkles to make them less visible!

My Favorite Chemical-Free Cleaning Products

Ever since I became pregnant with Hudson I have tried to switch to as many chemical free, yet effective cleaning products as possible. I love being able to clean, and not have to worry about him inhaling harsh chemicals! These are some of my favorites that work for me!

Shark Steam Pocket Mop This was one of the best purchases I made when Hudson was a baby. Not only did it help clean up the sticky floor underneath his high chair, but it made me feel so much better knowing I was sanitizing where his little hands were crawling daily! I use it in my kitchen, on my hardwoods, and in my bathrooms. I love that it’s only water, and not sticky residue from chemicals!

Norwex Blue Diamond All-In-One Bathroom Cleaner & Bathroom Scrub Mitt This make cleaning the tub, and shower extremely quick and simple. I can rinse and stick Huds right in the tub afterwards, without worrying about harsh chemicals or fumes! It cleans, descales, and deeply penetrates into surfaces to eliminate bacteria, germs, hard water scales, soap scum and dissolves rust stains!

The Laundress Home Spray I love to spritz this on sheets while making the bed. It reminds me of fresh sheets with a Summer breeze blowing through an open window. It has natural antibacterial properties that add scent while removing odor. I spray it on our duvet then use my hand steamer to kill germs and make it smell fresh! It’s perfect for things that can’t be washed often, even dry clean only clothing, drapes, upholstery and carpet!

Norwex Envirocloth & Window Cloth I can go on all day about the Envirocloth because I love being able to wipe down my counters and table without any harsh scents, while still removing 99% of bacteria. It also eliminates the need for 60 paper towels while I clean, because I’m the worst! In combination with the window cloth, my mirrors and showers look extra sparkling in just a few minutes! I use it to wipe down toy bins, carseats and strollers, also!

Thieves Household Cleaner This makes me excited to clean, because it makes our home smell Christmas! I use it in our kitchen to smell amazing and deep clean and degrease. I clean toys, and wipe down the boys’ play food truck and shopping carts with it. It’s concentrated so I just add a capful to a glass bottle and fill the rest with purified water, a little goes a really long way!

Seventh Generation Ultra Power Plus Dish Soap and Dishwasher Detergent I love that they are free of dyes and fragrances and they actually make my dishes look better! My water bottle lids used to have a funky taste after using regular detergents, I don’t have that problem with these!

Feel free to share some of your favorites below!

Have a great weekend! Xo

When in doubt.. Go Monochromatic

Bodysuit | Denim | Bag: Goyard| Sunnies | Shoes | Earrings

Happy Thursday! I hope you’re having a great week! When chasing around a toddler, or preparing for a busy day, a foolproof way of getting ready in a hurry, for me, is choosing a monochromatic look. There’s something so sleek about an all black ensemble!

For Spring and Summer, I love a crisp all white look! I am always stocking up on basic tees and tanks, and neutral shades of denim, because it really extends your wardrobe and mixes and matches so well!

These are some of my favorite tees, tie front tees, tanks, and bodysuits. When I find a style and fit that’s right for me, I invest in multiple colors.

I’d love to here your favorite go-to basics!

A Self Care Routine + Mom Life

After becoming a new Mom, life was a mix of spit-up stained fitness clothes (that never saw a workout), little sleep, and forgetting to eat, let alone consuming a recommended water intake daily. You gain so much.. joy, memories, and love by putting a sweet little one first. As he got older, I struggled figuring out how to balance being a mom and adding in self care, as well, which I’m sure many of you do. As much as I loved fitness, I struggled with how to fit it in and make it a priority. Minimal sleep was the new norm, and me time was non-existent. Can you relate?

I needed a way to use my time efficiently by working out at home, so at the end of November, I downloaded an app and made a goal to do a scheduled workout 5-6 days a week. The workouts range from 22-40 minutes, and incorporate everything from free weights, to yoga, martial arts, and tabata. I love changing it up! I started doing it while Hudson ate breakfast every morning, and fell in love.

Lately, I made it a goal to wake up earlier while he is still asleep and doing my workout and if I’m lucky, adding in my shower before he gets up, as well! I love it because by the time he is ready to get up I have the day to focus on him, and not trying to multitask fitness, showering, etc.

I’ve made it a routine, I wake up, throw on my fitness clothes, make a Wellness Drink, start my diffuser with some mood-boosting essential oils and press play.

I look forward to it every morning! What a vast difference it makes to have that little piece of the day dedicated to something that makes me feel so much better, destress and start the day off positively!

As a mom, what are ways you incorporate self care? I’d love for you to share them below!

Swimsuit Steals

Bikini Top | Bikini Bottom | Sunnies | Lip Color: Goddess & Razzberry

Hudson: Swimsuit | Sunnies | Sandals

As if these high waisted swimwear separates weren’t already a serious budget find, they’re currently BOGO 50%! That means you can get this swimsuit under $30, run girl, RUN! I love the crochet detail on the top, and the bottoms have a fun little tie on the back. They are two separates I mixed and matched, but they’re also great staples to pair with other pieces like a cute black and white stripe or gingham print! I found this cute little one piece SPF 50 rashguard swimsuit for Huds, that was too cute to pass up (espeiclaly for the price!) It was perfect for going to the beach in scorching temps! There are similar versions here, here, and here!

How to Extend your Vacation Wardrobe

Top (old) (similar) | Denim (similar 1, 2, 3) | Espadrilles (similar 1, 2, 3) | Sunnies | Earrings | Handbag: Louis Vuitton

A 10 day vacation means getting creative with your wardrobe! I chose neutral staples so I could easily swap and mix and match, creating countless outfits with only a few key pieces. I was sure to pack white, black, olive, and dark denim, as well as multiple pairs of denim cutoffs. My tops included everything from lightweight sweaters, to basic tees, button down shirts, tanks and body suits. I added these neutral espadrilles to my suitcase right before I left and I’m so glad I did, they are not only extremely comfy, but they match absolutely everything! Neutral sandals and belts were also great additions to accommodate our itinerary. A large tote and small handbag were just enough for any occasion!

A black bodysuit makes a chic pairing with cutoff shorts, a black belt and sandals for day, then swapped for black denim and heels or espadrilles for night! Neutral pairings give you so many possibilities!

Follow along for multiple ways I paired each look!

The White Denim That’s a Must for Spring

Top (similar) | Denim | Sunnies | Earrings | Wedges | Lipstick: Strawberry Shortcake

I love adding striped pieces to my wardrobe because they’re timeless, so I know I’ll wear them for years! This one is a recent H&M find for only $5! One of my favorite ways to pair them is with white denim. It’s the ultimate Spring staple, and the first basic I grab to pair with espadrilles for a crisp, Spring look! This option is so comfy and super affordable! I love that they offer petite and tall options, as well, because a trip to the tailor with an almost 2 year old isn’t on my bucket list! (Ha!)

When I get back home to colder temps, I will definitely be swapping out my favorite taupe ankle boots and a neutral lightweight sweater for a chic transitional look. The key to transitioning white from Winter to Spring is sticking to neutral basics, without any sort of stark contrast.

White denim can be tricky, as to some fabrics are so thin they can be sheer. I love that this fabric is on the heavier side, so I don’t have to worry!

Snatch this style while you can, it’s currently 40% off at the checkout, making it under $22! Have a wonderful week!

Mediterranean Salad Pockets

I’m all about sticking to the 80/20 rule when it comes to nutrition. I actually crave healthy, clean foods, most of the time. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t pass up vegan pizza, donuts, or Mexican food at any given chance, (ha!) but I like to spice things up with quick, easy lunches so I don’t resort to snacking throughout the day.

These salad pita pockets are filled with yummy veggies and full of flavor!

Mediterranean Salad Pita Pockets

  • Cucumbers, sliced
  • Grape Tomatoes, sliced
  • Avocado, sliced
  • Tabouli
  • Hummus (I use Black Garlic flavor!)
  • Vegan Mozzarella (goat/feta can be used!)
  • Protein Options: Chickpeas, Lentils or Grilled Chicken
  • Cholula (optional)

Enjoy!

Crochet & Cutoffs

Bikini Top | Bikini Bottoms | Shorts | Shoes (similar: 1, 2, 3) | Earrings | Sunnies | Lipstick: Strawberry Shortcake

I can totally get on board with 70s and sunshine all Winter! The weather in South Florida right now could not be more ideal. I’ve been loving high waisted bikinis this season and this one comes at a serious steal! The detail is so fun! This bold suit and this muted option are on my wish list! I hope you’re having a great weekend!

Sunshine State of Mind

Shirt (similar) | Shorts | Sandals | Sunnies (under $15!)

Hudson: Shirt | Shorts | Shoes

We made it to our happy place for the next 10 days! It’s amazing what a little sunshine and warm weather can do for your mind, body, and soul. Stripes have been heavy on my radar, as of late. A lightweight boyfriend button down is such a great Spring staple to pair with everything from cutoff shorts to white denim! I can’t get enough of them. These suede wedges are the perfect neutral addition to my warm weather wardrobe! They’re not only comfortable, but such a great height, as well. I’m so excited to share my favorite Spring styles with gorgeous backdrops! Stay tuned!
